NAMING THE BABY

The naming ceremony is often the most emotional part of the bris. The baby can be given any Hebrew name, but is often named after a deceased relative.

All Hebrew names are followed by "son of ……" You will find your own Hebrew name in your marriage certificate, and it would help me if I could also see your name written down on the marriage certificate.

Every Hebrew name is infused with meaning, and when you choose your son's name, you are endowed with a spark of divine inspiration to choose a name which describes what kind of person he will become.
